Announcing a new service in the fight against Cyber Crime!

CNC Patch Management

CNC can now provide a comprehensive patch management service, which complies with the government's "Cyber Essentials Plus" requirements.

Our Patch Management service automatically installs the most recent software updates across your company's servers, PC's and laptops keeping your business protected.

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks. Since October 2014, all suppliers bidding for government contracts which involve the handling of personal information, and for the provision of some ICT products and services, must be certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme.

Only holders of the Cyber Essentials badge can bid for these contracts.

1 in 4 UK Businesses Affected by Cyber Crime

33% of small businesses and 65% of large businesses reported a cyber breach or attack in the past 12 months. Overall, 1 in 4 of all UK businesses have experienced a cyber attack or breach in the past year, costing them thousands of pounds and causing massive disruption to normal business operations.

Our Patch Management service covers all commonly-used 3rd party applications. Patches are installed within 14 days of release. The service also includes an external vulnerability scan and a report every quarter.

CNC Cycled the South Downs Way!!!!

Despite being sent mildly insane by the ever-constant bleeping of a Garmin Cycle Satnav (sorry, we couldn't resist the pull of technology) the CNC team did successfully complete the South Downs Way cycle ride last month!

We set off from Winchester in dreary Saturday morning drizzle, cautiously optimistic about our chances of completing the challenge. It wasn't without its trials!

Some Unexpected Challenges!

Our preparation was thorough. Collectively we were able to complete climbs over 30 hills (and as a group, higher than the elevation of Everest.) But we didn't expect to have to perform some impromptu sheep herding and cattle rustling, as well as deer spotting, before reaching our destination!

As a team, we consumed 24 protein drinks, 24 energy bars, and over 20 litres of water. We only suffered two punctures, and somehow remained chipper despite the rather discouraging signposts along the way telling us how far we still had to go!

It was certainly an experience none of us will forget. We were delighted to have the opportunity to complete such a rewarding challenge and to raise funds for the wonderful charity St Barnabas House. St Barnabas House in Worthing provides specialist palliative care for adults with advanced, progressive, life-limiting illnesses and support for their families.

Fundraising Target Exceeded!!

Thanks to all the generous donations received we managed to raise 3,131.00 which is 125% of our target! Please visit our JustGiving page for more information.
