  • Introducing Office 365 Planner:

Taking the Chaos out of Teamwork. Project Planning Made Easy!

    Planner

Planner is a new feature of Office 365 designed to make it easy for teams to work together on projects. With Office 365 Planner you can:

    • Create new plans
    • Organize and assign tasks
    • Share files
    • Chat about what you're working on
    • Get progress updates

Helping teams to work more effectively together and to get more done!

Planner will be included in the Office 365 Enterprise E1-E5 subscription plans and Office 365 Business Essentials and Premium plans.

    Not Just for Projects

Planner is a very versatile tool and as well as helping to run projects more smoothly it can also be used for a host of other tasks where people need to work together, for example:

    • Managing a marketing event
    • Brainstorming new product ideas
    • Preparing for a customer visit
    • Or simply helping you to organize your team more effectively

    Visualise your tasks

A major benefit of using Planner is that it helps teams to organise their work visually. Each plan has its own Board, and within each Board, each work item is represented by a Card.

A Card can have due dates, attachments, categories and conversations associated with it. Team members receive an email notification whenever they are assigned a new Card or added to a Card conversation.

Documents or images attached to Cards automatically get rich image previews. So you see at a glance what the Card is about.

Cards can be organized on the Board into customizable columns called Buckets, which can be prioritised and tagged with coloured labels. Again making it easy to see the key information at a glance.

Great for Personal Work Planning Too!

Planner can also help you keep your work on track with a number of useful different "views."

The My Tasks view lets you filter down to see specifically what you need to do, across every plan. The Hub view lets you track overall progress across all plans. And the Charts view includes interactive charts, creating a visualization of people's progress against deadlines.

Planner is also an ideal way to organize your Office 365 files. You can attach your Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents to a Card and then start editing them straight away.

When a document is attached to a Card, it is stored in a SharePoint Online document library, allowing you to work on them offline.

So, Office 365 Planner offers a number of exciting new ways to manage your work. Team projects, organising events, generating ideas, managing your own work, Planner can help. Giving you highly visual, colour-coded plans, progress charts and reports.
